This is the hard to find and overpriced 3-terminal 3.6V Lithium-Thionyl Battery that fits most of Ameritec's Equipment. Shelf life is approx. 10 years. No unusual tools are required to change this battery, but circuit boards must be removed. For AM8, AM8a, and AM8e, AM5, AM5XT, AM5EXT, AM5XT-200, etc. battery is on a horizontal PCB, near back panel.
